Miers nominated to the court... it's going to be an interesting October.

with the nomination and confirmation of supreme court chief justice john roberts barely put in history, bush nominated hariet miers to the supreme court to replace sandra day o'connor. hariet miers, who was pretty much under the radar before perhaps a week ago, is a woman who has never sat on the bench. interesting choice, i just hope that there's something about this woman that we don't know... that she'll grow into this role with conservative dominance. i'd like to say that i didn't want a judicial activitst, but a conservative judicial activist. but i'll settle for a conservative figure who will tilt the court in a different direction. i think that's all we can hope for at this point... or a democrat filibuster... haha just kidding.
